Melissa Nalbach brings a unique perspective and appreciation to her work.

Melissa graduated from Binghamton University in 2003 with a major in Economics and a minor in Technical Theatre. Like many new graduates, she pursued the field that seemed the most feasible, rather than following her dream. Melissa worked in the banking industry for almost 10 years; while she was very successful she always felt something was missing. After some soul searching, she decided to take a leap of faith and pursue her true passion – art.

Melissa embarked on her artistic journey in 2010 with the study of Art and Photography at Nassau Community College. During her coursework she revisited an old love – Scenic Art. She had studied it while at Binghamton in pursuance of her minor.  Not being one to let a second chance pass her by, Melissa enrolled in a Summer Seminar held at Cobalt Studios in White Lake, NY.  Her talents were then accepted in to the Scenic Art program at Cobalt in the Fall of 2013. She will commence her studies in Summer 2015.

Having the experience of working in a corporate setting to working with and alongside other artists at Cobalt, Melissa understands the importance of teamwork.  She enjoys working as part of a collaboration as well as independently.  She is flexible, patient and precise.

Melissa is located in the NY Metro area but will travel for commissioned work.

Melissa is available for freelance work as well as private commissioned pieces (murals, paintings).
